Each month, Housing First Minnesota completes a press release about the state of the previous month’s residential construction data, provided by Keystone Report, a local research firm which maintains a database with information about new residential construction permits around the metropolitan area. 

Keystone Report collects data from 70 percent of the most active metropolitan-area municipalities in the greater 13-county region. Data includes permits issued (one permit is issued per building) and planned units, or the total number of housing units planned to be built under the permits issued (one permit is issued per building which may include more than one housing unit).

Each year, Housing First Minnesota surveys local builders to create the Top Ranked Builder list.  These 25 residential construction firms are ranked by dollar volume of closed new homes, and include total number of homes closed for each calendar year.
