This course presents an overview of building science principles and high-performance homes including heat/air/moisture flows, high-performance enclosures, high performance mechanical systems with an open Q&A session on key issues.

Learning Objectives:

  • Familiarity with key building science terms and principles
  • Familiarity with key concept and approaches for high-performance homes
  • Apply principles and concepts to both enclosure and mechanical systems
  • Recognize key enclosure components for high-performance homes
  • Recognize key mechanical components and equipment for high-performance homes
  • Exposure to potential challenges of high-performance enclosure and mechanical systems
