In this course, students will learn the different types and uses of engineered wood products, common installation errors and how to avoid them, and get a better understanding of International Residential Code wall bracing requirements.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the various types of EWP and their uses
  • Recognize the consequences of common installation errors and provide practical solutions for avoiding them
  • Identify areas of a structure that present challenges to energy efficiency and structural strength
  • Describe the various methods of wall bracing and alternative methods recognized by the International Residential Code

CE Credits:
